Home / Our Origin
The natural barrier of the Liuwan Mountains, the mild climate of the Beibu Gulf and soil that is over 80% naturally rich in selenium — Pubei gives Dahonggan tangerines their ideal growing conditions.
Old-tree Orchards
Dahonggan tangerines have a notable trait: the older the tree, the thicker the peel and the fuller the oil cells — and the better the Chenpi it produces. Truly, "the older, the more precious."
Pubei County is home to 250,000 old trees aged over 20 years and 68,900 aged over 30 years, with some nearly a century old and still bearing fruit. These time-worn old trees are Pubei Chenpi's most precious "living fossils" and the golden raw material for premium Chenpi.
One Tree, One File
We have built a "one tree, one tag, one file" electronic traceability system. From orchard to workshop, the entire process is traceable — customers can scan the code to learn about their product.
The Craft
Following the traditional seasons and handcraft, every step shapes the final aroma and quality.
Around the winter solstice, fully ripe Dahonggan tangerines are picked with orange-red peel and full oil cells.
Hand peeling with three even lobes and an intact peel — a skill that takes years of practice to master.
After turning the peel, it is sun-dried in a ventilated place to fully dehydrate and set its shape.
Naturally aged for over three years in a temperature- and humidity-controlled environment for a rich aged aroma.
Smart Public Warehouse
Chenpi is "30% growing, 70% storing" — warehousing is the key to quality. The Pubei Chenpi smart public warehouse uses environmental control systems and a traceability platform to standardize, digitize and intelligently manage storage.
From source to finished product, we offer stable quality and transparent traceability. Distributors and brands are welcome to discuss cooperation.
